Overnight Caregiver Needed

Job Overview

Join our overnight care team as an Overnight Caregiver and help clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected throughout the night in their homes. You’ll provide attentive personal care, monitor clients well-being, and support individual care plans. This paid position calls for dependable, compassionate care and clear communication.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, safe transfers, and mobility using appropriate manual-handling methods and equipment, including a Hoyer lift when trained and applicable. Must have experience with diaper changes.
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and record relevant information such as vital signs according to care plans and workplace procedures.
• Support medication administration only as authorized and within your training; protect privacy and follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and residents’ rights.
• Prepare meals, cook as needed, clean shared spaces, and provide personal transportation assistance when assigned.
• Your impact: Consistent overnight observation and respectful care help residents stay comfortable and enable the care team to respond to changing needs.

Skills

• Required: Caregiving, patient care, patient observation, patient monitoring, client communication, assisting with ADLs, patient personal care assistance, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and safe patient transfer methods.
• Preferred: Group home, assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, home care, home health, and home and community care experience; senior care and geriatrics.
• Relevant experience may include Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care, hospice care, nursing, direct support, intellectual disabilities support, and working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities.
• First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), vital signs, care plans, medication administration, heavy lifting, and Hoyer lift experience are valued; follow applicable training and authorization requirements.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11.0 – 35.0 per week
