Part-time Caregiver

Overview

Christian Servants Home Care, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Caregiver to provide high-quality care to a member in the comfort of his own home. This role operates during 2 to 4 hour flexible shifts during morning and evening hours.The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care. Locations: Waukesha, Palmyra, Helenville, Sullivan, Watertown

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, assist with feeding and toileting.
• Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe environment
• Utilize equipment such as a Sit to stand for resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic living space
• Follow all safety protocols, including CPR and first aid procedures, to ensure resident safety at all times
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is highly desirable
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards necessary
• Previous caregiving experience involving Alzheimer’s or memory care is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with residents and team members
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training can be provided if needed
