HHA / CNA

Overview

As an HHA / CNA, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care to clients in home and community settings. You’ll support daily routines, observe changes in condition, and communicate clearly with clients and care teams. Your impact: By delivering dependable personal care and promptly sharing observations, you help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal care.
• Observe clients, take vital signs as assigned, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry according to care plans.
• Assist with safe patient transfers, including use of a Hoyer lift when trained and directed; provide catheter care or medication assistance only as permitted by the care plan and applicable rules.
• Provide compassionate support in senior care, memory care, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, hospice, and end-of-life settings as assigned.

Qualifications

• Relevant home health, home care, home healthcare assistance, or home health agency experience is valued; assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, live-in, and home and community care experience are also helpful.
• Experience with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and patient care is beneficial.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, medical records, patient observation, and patient transfer methods is preferred.
• Understand patient confidentiality and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); follow applicable home health regulations.
• First aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and basic life support (BLS) knowledge are valued. Ability to perform required lifting and communicate respectfully with clients is important.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
