Home Health Aide & Caregiver

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide & Caregiver to support clients with daily needs in their homes and communities. You will provide respectful, person-centered care to older adults and individuals with disabilities, following care plans and applicable home health care regulations. Your impact: Attentive daily care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater confidence in their loved one’s support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe patient transfers; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe lifting practices.
• Observe and report changes in condition, take vital signs as directed, and document care accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration as authorized, catheter care as assigned, and meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Provide compassionate senior, geriatric, dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, hospice, and end-of-life care according to client needs and care plans.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams while protecting medical records and maintaining confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, home health, home care, or home and community care is valuable; assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, home health agency, or live-in experience is preferred.
• Experience with geriatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is an asset.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, patient observation, and patient care is preferred.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or basic life support (BLS) training is preferred.
• Must be dependable, respectful, and able to perform the physical duties of the role, including heavy lifting when required.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 60.0 per week
