Position Summary

Village Home Care is seeking caring, dependable, and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team. The Home Health Aide provides personal care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed healthcare professional.

This position offers flexibility, meaningful one-on-one patient interactions, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Help patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
• Maintain a safe and clean home environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Document care provided according to agency policies

Qualifications

• Current Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
• CNA license accepted and encouraged
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience preferred
• Home health experience is a plus
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing
• Current CPR certification preferred
