Home Health Aide

Overview

As a Home Health Aide, you’ll provide respectful, practical care that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home and in their communities. You’ll support people with daily routines, including older adults and individuals with disabilities, while communicating changes in their condition to the appropriate care team.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, bathing, dressing, mobility, and safe patient transfers; use a Hoyer lift when trained and directed.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and do laundry; communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams.
• Provide appropriate support in home health, senior, memory, dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and end-of-life care settings while protecting patient confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Qualifications

• Patient care, caregiving, and home health care assistance experience; familiarity with home healthcare regulations and medical terminology.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or basic life support (BLS) knowledge or certification, as required for the role.
• Able to follow safe patient transfer methods and meet role-related physical demands, including heavy lifting when required.
• Experience in home care, home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, home health agencies, or live-in care is valued.
• Experience with geriatric patients, developmental disabilities, other disabilities, memory care, and medical records is welcome.
• This Position is Monday and Thursday of each Week

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
