Home Health Aide (HHA)

Job Overview

As a Home Health Aide (HHA), you’ll provide compassionate, practical support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home and in the community. You’ll assist with personal care, daily routines, and household tasks while communicating respectfully with clients and their care teams.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and patient transfers; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe lifting practices.
• Observe and report changes in condition, check vital signs as assigned, and complete accurate medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration and catheter care only as permitted by applicable regulations and assigned care plans.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and do laundry; provide companionship and communicate client needs to the care team.
• Deliver respectful support in home health, senior care, memory care, hospice, or end-of-life settings while protecting confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Experience

• Caregiving or patient care experience is valuable, including home care, home health agency, assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, live-in, or home and community care.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, home healthcare regulations, and patient observation is preferred.
• First aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or basic life support (BLS) knowledge is beneficial; follow employer and local requirements for credentials.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
