Home Health Aide

Overview

* A trained paraprofessional who provides personal care and basic health-related services to patients in their homes to support daily living and promote independence. (Must be willing to provide care for individuals with disabilities who may exhibit challenging behaviors)

Common duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility
• Help with meal preparation and feeding
• Assist with medication reminders (not administering unless licensed/authorized)
• Monitor and report changes in consumer (vitals, behavior, symptoms)
• Light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Follow care plans developed by nurses or therapists

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Government-issued photo ID or driver’s license
• Level 2 background
• CPR certification
• Reliable transportation

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
