In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, attentive support in clients’ homes and communities. You’ll help people maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines while following care plans and protecting each client’s rights and privacy. Your impact: Consistent, compassionate care helps clients and families feel supported and safer in daily life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe transfers; use a Hoyer lift and manual handling methods when trained and appropriate.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and follow care plans, including medication administration and vital-sign procedures when authorized.
• Support older adults and people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory-care needs, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities.
• Communicate clearly with clients and care teams; follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy practices and applicable safety procedures.

Experience

• Experience in caregiving, home care, home health, home and community care, senior care, geriatrics, or direct support is valuable.
• Background in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, or hospice care is welcome.
• Experience with patient care, patient observation and monitoring, resident rights, patient personal care, and patient transfer methods is preferred.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) knowledge is helpful; follow role-specific authorization and training for nursing tasks and medication administration.
• Ability to perform assigned duties, including standing, assisting with transfers, or heavy lifting when required, is important.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.50 per hour
