In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

As an In-Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, person-centered support to a client with dementia in her home. You’ll assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, mobility, and observation while following care plans and protecting the client privacy and rights. Your impact: By providing attentive, consistent care, you help the client maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving the family greater confidence in their loved one daily support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe transfers; use a gaint belt or other equipment when trained and directed.
• Prepare breakfast
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and follow care plans, medication administration instructions, and safety procedures.
• Support senior person with dementia.
• Communicate respectfully with client and family; uphold the resident rights and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.

Requirements

• Patient care, caregiving, direct support, client communication, patient observation, and monitoring skills.
• Ability to assist with manual handling, patient transfer methods, and heavy lifting as required by the role.
• Relevant experience in home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, hospice, or long-term care is valued.
• Experience with senior care, memory care, nursing, vital signs, and medication administration is helpful.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
