CAREGIVER- CNA/HHA PALM BEACH GARDENS- WEEKENDS

Job Overview

Join our weekend caregiving team in Palm Beach Gardens and help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence at home. In this paid caregiver role, you’ll provide hands-on support, communicate with clients and care teams, and document care accurately. Your impact: attentive personal care and observation help clients and families feel supported while keeping care teams informed.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe patient transfer methods.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ condition, take vital signs as assigned, and provide catheter care or medication assistance only within your training and authorization.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and handle laundry while supporting clients’ routines and preferences.
• Record care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintain medical records, and protect confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and care teams, including during dementia, memory care, hospice, or end-of-life support.

Experience

• Caregiving, patient care, home health care assistance, or home care experience is relevant; experience in home health agencies, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, or live-in employment is welcome.
• Experience with geriatric patients, senior care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, developmental disabilities, or other disabilities is valuable.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, home healthcare regulations, and EMR/EHR systems is preferred.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or basic life support (BLS) knowledge is beneficial. Be prepared for the physical demands of care, including lifting as required.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
