We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those with special needs. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking according to dietary restrictions.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding client care and services provided.
• Support clients with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques.
• Assist with long-term care needs, including catheter care when necessary.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.

Skills

• Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding basic health monitoring techniques.
• Experience in senior care or working with individuals requiring special assistance.
• Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in health status or behavior.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care while respecting client privacy and dignity.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices and effective communication strategies.
• Familiarity with medical documentation processes to maintain accurate records of client care.
• Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
• Understanding of long-term care principles and practices.
• Experience in catheter care is a plus, along with familiarity with relevant healthcare systems.
