What You’ll Do

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
• Provide companionship and emotional support that improves quality of life
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean home environment
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities (mileage reimbursed)
• Use assistive devices including gait belts and Hoyer lifts (training available)
• Assist with mobility; lifting up to 35 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs
• Report changes in client condition to supervisory staff in a timely manner

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience (personal or professional)
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
• Availability for at least one weekend day per week
• Willingness to travel across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and metro area
• Willingness to work with clients who have pets in their home

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Hoyer lifts or transfer equipment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English — strongly preferred
