In Home Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor and observe patients’ health status by recording changes in condition following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism,
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards
• Support clients with home maintenance tasks including cleaning, laundry, and light household chores to ensure a safe living environment

Skills

• experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or senior care in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly and accurately
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams while respecting residents’ rights and privacy standards under HIPAA regulations
• Experience working with dementia care, memory care units, hospice care scenarios or long-term care environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with home & community care practices including assisting with ADLs
• Competence in maintaining detailed documentation related to care plans and patient progress reports

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
