In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home. You’ll assist with daily routines, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients and their care teams. Your impact: attentive, person-centered care helps clients and families feel supported while promoting dignity and independence.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and safe manual handling; use a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Follow care plans and support medication administration only as authorized and within applicable requirements.
• Monitor clients, observe and report changes, and communicate respectfully with clients and families.
• Protect privacy, follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and uphold each client’s rights.

Skills

• Caregiving, patient care, home care, home health, direct support, and home and community care experience are relevant; experience in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, hospice, or senior care is valued.
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, geriatrics, intellectual disabilities support, and care for people with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is helpful.
• Familiarity with patient observation and monitoring, vital signs, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, and first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is preferred.
• Strong client communication, reliability, respect for resident rights, and the ability to follow care plans are important.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
