Position Overview

GentleHands Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated On-Call Caregivers to provide exceptional, person-centered care to clients in Vacaville, California.

This position is ideal for caregivers who are flexible and available to accept shifts as needed. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements

• Active Home Care Aide (HCA) ID or PER ID listed on the California Home Care Aide Registry
• Valid California Driver's License
• Reliable personal vehicle with current automobile insurance
• Negative TB test completed within the last 90 days
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist clients up to 50 pounds
• Ability to travel to client homes throughout Vacaville, CA
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred to support Spanish-speaking clients and families

Key Responsibilities

As an On-Call Caregiver with GentleHands Home Care, you will

• Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transferring, mobility assistance, and feeding
• Promote client independence, dignity, comfort, and overall well-being
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding while monitoring nutrition and hydration
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social interaction
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with agency policies and client care plans
• Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs
• Accurately document services provided and complete required care records
