In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support in clients’ homes and communities. You’ll assist with personal care, daily routines, meals, and safe mobility while following care plans and protecting each client’s privacy and rights. Your impact: Attentive care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater confidence in their loved one’s daily support.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, bathing, dressing, and safe transfers; use proper manual handling and a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and follow care plans, medication instructions, and safety procedures.
• Support people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities with patience and respect.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams; uphold HIPAA privacy requirements and residents’ rights.

Experience

• Caregiving, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is valuable; experience in senior care, geriatrics, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, or hospice is also relevant.
• Experience with patient care, direct support, memory care, dementia care, nursing, patient observation, vital signs, patient monitoring, and medication administration is helpful.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is welcome.
• Familiarity with patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, first aid, and CPR is preferred. First aid and CPR credentials may be required for the role.
• Bring clear client communication, reliability, and a commitment to respectful, person-centered care.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
