In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

HolisticCare is seeking caregivers to serve the Sealy and surrounding areas full and part-time. Flexible scheduling, day and night shifts available to provide dependable, respectful care to clients in their homes and communities. You’ll support daily routines, follow care plans, and communicate changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate care team. This role may serve older adults and people with disabilities, including individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Your impact: Attentive, person-centered care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater confidence in daily support.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment such as a Hoyer lift.
• Observe and monitor clients, take vital signs when assigned, and report changes promptly.
• Support medication administration only as authorized and directed by the care plan and applicable requirements.
• Prepare meals, cook, assist with personal transportation, and complete light cleaning.
• Follow care plans, protect resident’s rights and privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and use safe manual handling practices.

Skills

• Required: Compassionate caregiving, clear client communication, patient care, patient observation, and the ability to follow care plans and privacy practices.
• Preferred: Home care, home health, home and community care, group home, assisted living, nursing home, hospice, long-term care, senior care, or geriatric experience.
• Preferred: Alzheimer’s, memory, or dementia care; direct support; nursing; intellectual disabilities support; and experience supporting individuals with autism or other disabilities.
• Preferred: Experience with ADLs, patient monitoring, personal care assistance, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, meal preparation, and personal transportation assistance.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
