In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home. You’ll assist with personal care, daily routines, meals, and mobility while following individual care plans and protecting each client’s privacy and rights. Your impact: Attentive care and clear communication help clients and families navigate daily needs with dignity and confidence.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Prepare meals, perform light cleaning, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Support safe mobility and transfers using appropriate methods and equipment, including a Hoyer lift when trained and authorized; follow safe manual-handling practices.
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and document care, including vital signs when required by the care plan.
• Provide direct support and companionship; follow medication instructions and care plans, and use first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training within your qualifications.

Experience

• Caregiving, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is relevant. Experience in senior care, geriatrics, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, or hospice is valued.
• Patient care, patient observation, monitoring, medication reminders,, nursing, meal preparation, cleaning, and patient transfer experience are required.
• Experience supporting people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care needs, or other disabilities is welcome.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy practices and residents’ rights is valued.
• First aid and CPR training is preferred. Heavy lifting may be required; follow safe handling procedures and role-specific instructions.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
