In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home and in the community. You’ll assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, and mobility while following care plans and protecting each client’s privacy and rights. Your impact: By providing attentive care and clear communication, you help clients and families navigate daily needs with greater confidence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Support safe transfers and mobility using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment, including a Hoyer lift when trained and authorized.
• Observe and monitor clients, report changes, and document care in line with care plans and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Provide direct support and companionship; follow medication administration instructions and use first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills when qualified and needed.

Qualifications

• Patient care, caregiving, client communication, patient observation, patient monitoring, vital signs, and care plan experience are valuable.
• Background in home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, hospice, long-term care, senior care, or geriatrics is welcome.
• Experience supporting people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care needs, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is beneficial.
• Knowledge of resident’s rights, nursing, medication reminders, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, and cleaning is helpful.
• First aid and CPR credentials are preferred. Experience assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, and personal care is an asset.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
