In Home Caregiver

Job Summary

HolisticCare is seeking full and part-time team members to care for elderly clients in their home in the Brenham and surrounding areas. Flexible schedules with day and night shifts available.

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, hands-on support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home. You’ll assist with daily routines, follow care plans, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients and their care teams. Your impact: attentive, consistent care supports clients’ dignity and daily well-being while giving families greater confidence in their care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and safe manual handling; use a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Prepare meals, help with light cleaning, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Monitor clients, observe and report changes, and record vital signs or care provided as directed.
• Follow care plans, medication administration instructions, resident’s rights, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.
• Provide compassionate support for older adults and people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other support needs.

Skills

• Essential: caregiving, patient care, patient observation and monitoring, client communication, ADL assistance, meal preparation, cleaning, patient transfers, and safe lifting practices.
• Preferred: home care, home health, home and community care, senior care, geriatrics, hospice care, memory care, nursing, and long-term care experience but NOT required.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
