Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly
• Administer medication according to care plans and document all medication administration accurately
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs
• Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring client safety at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
• Hands-on experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and managing care plans for diverse needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, or memory care patients
• Ability to perform CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Familiarity with patient transfer techniques including Hoyer lifts and manual handling procedures
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities
• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
