In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, attentive care in clients’ homes and communities. You’ll support daily routines, follow care plans, and communicate changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate care team. Your impact: By providing reliable personal care and patient observation, you help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, safe transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift or other equipment when trained and directed.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as outlined in the care plan.
• Observe and monitor clients, including vital signs when assigned, and report changes promptly.
• Support medication reminders, only as authorized; protect privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and uphold residents’ rights.
• Provide compassionate support in home care, home health, hospice, senior care, and memory care settings, following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Caregiving or patient care experience (2 years minimum is required)l, including home and community care, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or long-term care.
• Experience with older adults, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, hospice care, autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, or other disabilities is valued.
• Knowledge of direct support, nursing, care plans, patient monitoring, patient observation, and patient transfer methods is an asset.
• Ability to perform manual handling and required lifting safely; follow infection prevention and client privacy practices.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training is preferred. Be prepared to follow care instructions and communicate clearly with clients and care teams.

Pay: $19.50 per hour
