In Home Caregiver

Overview

As an In Home Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support in a client’s home and community. You’ll help people maintain daily routines, comfort, and independence while following care plans and protecting each client’s rights and privacy. Your impact: attentive care and clear communication help clients and families feel supported and informed.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe transfers; use a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Support medication administration, vital signs, and patient monitoring only as authorized and within your training; promptly report changes or concerns.
• Provide compassionate senior care, geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory, and hospice care according to individual needs and care plans.
• Document care and communicate respectfully with clients, families, and care teams while following HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy requirements.

Skills

• Essential: caregiving, patient care, patient observation, direct support, client communication, assisting with ADLs, patient personal care assistance, meal preparation, cleaning, manual handling, and safe patient transfer methods.
• Preferred: home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group home, nursing home, and long-term care experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is valued.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills are preferred; follow applicable safety procedures and resident’s rights.
• Nursing experience and familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs, patient monitoring, and heavy lifting are helpful; perform tasks only within your qualifications and authorization.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
