Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. This role requires a blend of personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to ensure the well-being and comfort of our clients.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Implement personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Observe and report any significant changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and encouraging participation in daily tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all health regulations and standards.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• First aid certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with care plans tailored for individual needs.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a group home setting.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices.
• Skills in patient observation and monitoring.
• Background in home care services or patient care.
• Understanding of social work principles as they relate to caregiving.
