We are seeking a dedicated Respite Youth Care Worker to join our team and provide essential care and support to young individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide supervision, care, and a nurturing environment for youth in a respite care setting.

* Develop positive relationships with young individuals to foster trust and companionship.

* Engage in activities that promote emotional, social, and physical well-being.

* Support youth in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals.

* Collaborate with a team of professionals to plan and implement individualized care plans.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided, as well as any incidents or observations.

* Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to all organizational policies and safety regulations.

* Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the youth's well-being.

Qualifications

* A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.

* Previous experience working with youth in a care or support setting is a strong asset.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young individuals from diverse backgrounds.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm in challenging situations.

* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the youth and the program.

* Valid CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire and Mandated Reporters Training

* Background check clearance as per organizational and state requirements.
