Lead Certified Caregiver

Job Overview

Moore Blessings AFH is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Lead Caregiver to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for an experienced caregiver who enjoys mentoring others, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain high-quality care for adults with developmental disabilities.

This is a working leadership position. You will continue providing direct care while also supporting management with administrative responsibilities and quality assurance.

Job Duties

Resident Care

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Administer medications according to physician orders and company policies.
• Ensure resident health, safety, dignity, and well-being at all times.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to management and healthcare professionals.

Administrative & Leadership Duties

• Complete and update Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
• Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) daily for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify documentation errors and ensure corrections are completed promptly.
• Conduct routine chart audits to ensure compliance with Wisconsin regulations.
• Monitor staff documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with incident reports and follow-up documentation.
• Help maintain resident records and regulatory paperwork.
• Support onboarding and training of new caregivers.
• Provide coaching and guidance to direct care staff.
• Issue corrective actions when directed by management and document performance concerns.
• Follow up on employee accountability and policy compliance.
• Assist with scheduling coverage as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information.
• Perform additional administrative duties assigned by management.
