Responsibilities for Lead CNA

• Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new caregivers.
• Provide guidance and support to caregivers, answering questions and promoting quality care.
• Monitor compliance with resident care plans and report concerns to the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
• Assist with staffing needs, including shift coverage and emergency backup when needed.
• Perform daily rounds to ensure resident care is delivered according to care plans.
• Promote teamwork by helping resolve caregiver concerns and serving as a liaison between staff and nursing leadership.
• Assist with caregiver interviews, training compliance, and departmental meetings.
• Support the enforcement of facility policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Lead CNA

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current, active CNA certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in long-term care or a similar caregiving role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and support a collaborative team environment.
