Live In Caregiver

BrightStar Care is a home health company that promotes well-being in the home. We provide our clients with CNAs that assist with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Care needs range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care, and everything in between.

Role Overview

As a Live-In Caregiver at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home care to our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our nursing staff to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each client's specific needs. You'll be in the client's home 24 hours a day for several days at a time, with sleep and personal breaks

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Actively provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor clients' health and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure adherence to individualized care plans and adjust as needed.

Qualifications

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent experience in providing personal care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with clients.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Bonus If You

• Have experience with dementia care.
• Have a strong background in providing care for elderly individuals.

Employment Type & Availability

This position is Full-Time, available seven days a week.

Location

This position is on-site and located in Tinley Park, Illinois and surrounding suburbs.
