Live-In Caregiver

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in a home setting. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive assistance with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients with diverse needs. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming etc
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
• Implement behavior management strategies and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being
• Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Communicate effectively with clients about their needs and preferences while respecting their rights and dignity
• Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary

Experience

• Prior assisted living or long-term care experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
• Ability to connect with the client naturally in interesting conversations, activities etc.
• Prefer to have someone with ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client outings or appointments
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring
• Training in safe patient lifting practices (if needed), manual handling, first aid, and CPR is required or preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to respecting residents’ rights while providing compassionate caregiving

Pay: $1,210.00 - $1,250.00 per month
