Oak Grove, OR Position: Caregiver - Memory Care Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

Kinsington Oak Grove Heirloom Living Centers is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Caregiver to join our Memory Care team. The Caregiver is responsible for providing daily assistance and support to residents living with dementia and other cognitive impairments while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and safety.

The Caregiver works closely with Medication Technicians, nursing staff, and management to ensure residents receive high-quality care and engagement throughout the day. This position requires a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResident Care

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, and personal hygiene.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and mobility needs.
• Provide cueing, redirection, and behavioral support to residents with dementia.
• Answer resident call lights promptly.
• Assist residents during meals, including meal setup and feeding assistance when necessary.
• Encourage resident independence and participation in daily routines.
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life at all times.

Memory Care Support

• Engage residents in activities and meaningful interactions.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, or cognition.
• Report concerns to the Medication Technician or management team promptly.
• Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured environment for residents.
• Follow all resident service plans and community policies.

Housekeeping & Community Support

• Complete assigned cleaning duties.
• Assist with laundry and linen changes.
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and available as needed.
• Assist with community operations to support resident care and daily workflow.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete required charting and documentation accurately and timely.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety standards.
• Attend required staff meetings, in-services, and training programs.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and professional conduct.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors or individuals living with dementia preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and resident-centered approach to caregiving.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow direction.
• Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
• Ability to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility.

Required Certifications and Training

The following certifications and training are required for this position

• Oregon Care Partners Caregiving Classes for Memory Care
• All required Oregon Care Partners Memory Care Training
• Current CPR Certification
• Current Bloodborne Pathogens Certification
• Current Oregon Food Handler Card

Employee must maintain all required certifications and continuing education requirements throughout employment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers safely.
• Ability to lift and move resident care equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Memory Care environment.

12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Sunday

Off Monday: Off Tuesday: Off
