Private In-Home Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or memory care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of those you serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure health and safety.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines.
• Assist with hospice care needs, ensuring dignity and comfort for end-of-life care.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of memory care techniques is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client transportation needs.
