Part-Time Caregiver Wanted for 20-Year-Old Young Man with Down Syndrome & Autism – Cumming/Forsyth County, GAOur family in the Cumming/Forsyth County area is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic part-time caregiver for our wonderful 20-year-old son. He has Down syndrome, Autism, and some additional medical complexities (including a history of heart surgery with a pacemaker). He is a joyful young man who thrives on positive engagement, routine, and getting out into the community. Key Responsibilities Provide constant supervision to ensure his safety and well-being. Engage him in fun, meaningful activities and accompany him on community outings (parks, zoos, stores, local events, and other enjoyable experiences). Support daily living routines, personal care, and skill-building as needed, using patience and positive approaches. Help monitor his well-being and assist with basic health-related coordination (a nursing or medical background is a strong advantage given his history). Provide transportation for outings and appointments (reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required). Communicate daily updates and observations with our family in a clear, timely manner. Ideal Candidate Nursing background necessary (current nursing student — especially from University of North Georgia or other local programs — LPN, RN, CNA with relevant clinical experience, or similar).
