Overnight Awake Staff – Residential Assisted Living (RAL)

We are seeking an Overnight Awake Staff member to monitor and support our residential assisted living home. This position requires you to remain awake, alert, and proactive throughout the night to ensure resident safety, handle routine overnight needs, and respond promptly to any nocturnal emergencies or call pendants.

Schedule

• Overnight Shift (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Frequency: Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday overnight)

Key Responsibilities

• Remain fully awake and alert throughout the entire overnight shift to monitor resident safety.
• Respond immediately to resident call pendants and pull cords.
• Assist residents with nighttime activities of daily living (ADLs), including safe restroom transfers and repositioning.
• Conduct routine hourly floor checks to ensure the security of the building.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry rotation, and organizational tasks during quiet hours.
• Document any overnight resident changes or incidents in the communication log for the morning shift.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior caregiving experience in an Assisted Living, Group Home, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• Ability to pass a mandatory Minnesota DHS NETStudy 2.0 criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with seniors.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
