Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Support with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as needed
• Help with medication reminders and basic medication administration under supervision
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Support residents during transfers when necessary
• Engage in behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities
• Drive residents to appointments or outings if required, ensuring safe transportation

Skills

• Strong understanding of assisted living, memory care, and senior care best practices is a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
• Ability to perform vital signs monitoring accurately and confidently
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Compassionate caregiving approach focused on dignity and respect
• Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
• Experience in home & community care settings or personal care homes is a plus
• Capable of managing behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
• Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• No CNA license required — we provide full on-the-job training
• Must pass a background check
• Caring personality and reliable transportation to Holladay
