Looking for a calm job, not hectic and meaningful work where you can make a difference in someone's daily life? I am seeking dependable, compassionate people to join my small PCA team and provide one-on-one personal care in my private home near MSU.

I am a 60-year-old woman with a spinal cord injury who uses a wheelchair. I need assistance with some daily activities.

Exact shift schedule

Weekday shifts

• Tuesday, December 1, 2026: 6:45 AM–1:00 PM, then every Tuesday.
• Wednesday, December 2, 2026: 6:45 AM–1:00 PM, then every Wednesday.
• Monday, December 7, 2026: 6:45 AM–3:00 or 3:30 PM, then every Monday.
• Thursday, December 3, 2026: 6:45 AM–1:00 PM, then every Thursday.
• Friday, December 4, 2026: 6:45 AM–3:00 or 3:30 PM.

Evening and weekend shifts

• Saturday, November 28, 2026: 5:00–7:00 PM and 10:00 PM–12:00 AM.
• Sunday, November 29, 2026: Four split shifts; exact times to be confirmed.
• Friday, December 18, 2026: 5:00–7:00 PM and 10:00 PM–12:00 AM.
• Saturday, December 19, 2026: The original schedule lists four split shifts for this date, but the day and hours need confirmation.
• Saturday, January 9, 2027: 5:00–7:00 PM and 10:00 PM–12:00 AM.
• Sunday, January 10, 2027: Four split shifts; exact times to be confirmed.
• Night shift

Every Wednesday starting January 6, 2027

10:00 PM–12:00 AM bedtime shift.

Additional on-call shifts may be available with an extra bonus for picking them up.

You may apply for just the shifts that fit your schedule. You do not need to work every shift.

Pay and benefits

• Starting wage: $20.50 per hour.
• After qualifying Enhanced Rate training: a $750 bonus stipend and a $21.50-per-hour raise, subject to program requirements.
• An additional $0.40-per-hour raise at $22.90/ hour after completing specific qualifying training.
• Paid time off: 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
• Holiday pay at time and a half for eight recognized holidays.
• Potential American Red Cross CPR certification opportunity $99 paid, subject to eligibility.

Duties may include

• Personal hygiene, dressing, and daily routines.
• Assistance with bladder care and colostomy care, as trained and assigned.
• Wound care.
• Mobility assistance and use of designated equipment.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Errands and driving to appointments or events when scheduled.
• Following personal-care and skin-care instructions.

Requirements

• Current driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Must live in Mankato or within approximately 15 minutes.
• Dependable, patient, respectful, and willing to learn.
• Some shifts require additional healthcare experience.

The home is a calm family environment with two friendly kittens, offering one-on-one care instead of a busy facility setting.

Pay: $20.50 - $22.90 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 20.0 per week
