Duties

  • Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, mental status, and overall condition; report changes promptly to nursing or supervisory staff
  • Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties, laundry, and sanitation of living or care areas
  • Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes well-being

Qualifications

  • No experience needed, but prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
