Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide non-medical, in-home support to clients who need assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, reliable, and committed to helping clients maintain their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence.

This position is scheduled every other weekend, on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance and support with transfers according to the client's care plan and the aide's training.
• Prepare meals and encourage adequate food and fluid intake as appropriate.
• Provide medication reminders as authorized by the care plan and agency policy.
• Offer companionship and respectful emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping and help maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or daily functioning to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow individualized care plans and agency procedures.
• Protect client privacy and confidentiality.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and agency staff.
• Complete required care documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
• Experience in home care, assisted living, long-term care, or a similar setting is an advantage.
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal hygiene is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of safe caregiving practices, client rights, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual, patient, and compassionate.
• Ability to follow care instructions and work independently within the scope of the role.
• Availability to work every other Saturday and Sunday.
