Personal Care Aide

Job Overview

We are looking for someone who can assist our participants with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene, mobility, and routine personal care while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, dressing, eating, transfers, ambulation, and personal hygiene
• Provide respectful, dignified care
• Provide appropriate participant supervision and follow fall-prevention and safety procedures
• Observe participants for changes in condition, behavior, mobility, or personal care needs
• Promptly report falls, injuries, incidents, unsafe conditions, emergencies, complaints, refusals of care, and other concerns to nursing aids or nursing staff, as appropriate

Requirements

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
• Communication skills to effectively interact with members and staff
• Ability to work 9a-1p, Mon-Fri

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
