Personal Care Aide

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a comfortable and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support, particularly in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or memory care.

Duties

• Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety during outings or appointments.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, monitoring progress and reporting any changes to the supervising staff.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Administer first aid when required and respond appropriately to emergencies or medical situations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in direct support roles within group homes, assisted living, or memory care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Ability to cook healthy meals and maintain cleanliness in the home environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
