Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PSS or CNA to join our team for full-time evening shifts. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality resident care within a supportive residential setting. Your expertise will ensure that individuals receive personalized attention and assistance with daily living activities during the evening hours. Responsibilities

• Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors.
• Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing specialized care plans tailored to individual requirements.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to HIPAA regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures during evening shifts.
• Ensure facility is clean, sanitized, and ready for morning operations.

Requirements

• Certification as a PSS is required.
• Certification as a CNA is optional.
• Prior experience caring for people with dementia is preferred.
• Prior experience in a residential care facility or assisted living setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential.
• Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Must be able to work evening hours.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.29 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
