Job Overview

Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
• Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures and assisting during treatments in settings such as ICU, emergency rooms, or surgical units.
• Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sanitation practices.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments in memory or behavioral health units.
• Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks under supervision while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
• Utilize advanced skills such as phlebotomy or catheter care when required to support comprehensive patient service.
