Assisted Living Caregiver

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality, non-one-on-one support to residents in a vibrant care environment. Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition and hydration for residents
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any health changes or concerns
• Engage residents in social activities and group programs to promote mental stimulation and community involvement
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within common areas, ensuring a safe environment for all
• Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members regarding care needs and concerns

Skills

• Must know how to cook
• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques
• Ability to assist with ADLs and perform medication administration accurately when required
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, first aid procedures, CPR certification, and safe patient lifting practices
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to foster positive client interactions and teamwork
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
