Job Summary

CAREGIVER NEEDED – HOSPICE CARE | BURLINGTON, NC

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and caring person to provide in-home care and companionship for an individual receiving hospice care. Background and drug test is required.

Location

Burlington, NC Start Date: October 19 Caregiving Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

LIVE-IN OPTION — PREFERRED

A private apartment downstairs is available for the caregiver.

The live-in arrangement includes

• Private downstairs apartment
• Rent covered
• Utilities covered
• $1,000/month salary

Important

The regular caregiving hours are 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. The live-in arrangement is primarily being offered to provide convenient, private housing for the caregiver and does not mean the caregiver is expected to provide 24-hour care or be on duty overnight.

There may occasionally be a need for assistance outside the scheduled hours if an unexpected situation arises, but the expectation is not for overnight or 24/7 caregiving.

NON-LIVE-IN OPTION

For someone who does not live in, the pay is $20/hour, Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Duties may include

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care and daily activities
• Helping with meals
• Light housekeeping related to the patient
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with mobility and repositioning
• Helping maintain a comfortable and safe environment
• Communicating concerns with family and hospice staff

Hospice or caregiving experience is preferred, but the most important qualities are compassion, patience, reliability, and trustworthiness.
