Caregiver

Assistance to Independence Home Care Services (ATI) provides supports to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. ATI is seeking qualified and caring people to work as a Direct Support Professional (DSP/CNA/ Care Giver/Home Health Aide). No experience is necessary, learn on the job. New hires are considered essential employees and management is hiring immediately.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Ensure the individuals are always treated with dignity and respect.

· Provide compassion and emotional support to individuals with intellectual and development disabilities

· The DSP is required to follow the Individuals plan of service, ensuring the individuals health and safety and promoting independence.

· Support and encourage the individual’s decision making on appropriate level to further promote independence.

· Provide one-on-one care in the individual’s home or their family’s home

· Provide companion services including assisting with daily activities and engaging the individual in community integration

· Assist in finding and participating in meaningful community activities

· Assist with personal hygiene

· Provide and assist with medications

· Teach skills to individuals served that increase independence such as eating, cooking, bathing

· Assist with Meal planning, cooking, and assisting with meals

· Assist with appointments/ doctors’ appointments

· Document data displaying the individual served goals and progression

· Participate in on going professional training

Qualifications

Driver’s License

Able to pass a criminal background check
