Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Med-Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support and medical assistance to residents in a small 20 bed assisted living facility. Your expertise will ensure residents receive personalized care that promotes comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and other chronic conditions. As a Caregiver/Med-Tech, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document medication administration using MAR (Medical Assistance Record) system
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
• Observe and record changes in residents’ physical and mental health status; communicate findings to healthcare team members effectively
• Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life in assisted living or home care environments

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices
• Experience with MOR a plus
• Proven ability to perform caregiving tasks including medication assistance administration, as well as general cleaning
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
