Job Overview

As a Caregiver in Orefield, PA, you’ll support clients with daily routines and personal care in a home setting. You’ll communicate with clients and families, observe changes in well-being, and document care clearly. Your impact: Attentive, respectful care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, transfers, and mobility; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and follow safe patient transfer methods.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry according to client needs.
• Observe clients, including older adults and people with disabilities, and report changes; assist with vital signs, medication administration, catheter care, or end-of-life and hospice care only as assigned and within your qualifications.
• Complete medical documentation and records in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems, while protecting confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Follow care plans, home health regulations, and safety procedures; communicate respectfully with clients and care teams.

Requirements

• Caregiving or patient care experience; relevant backgrounds may include home health, home care, home and community care, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, senior care, or live-in employment.
• Experience with geriatric patients, Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, developmental disabilities, or other disabilities is valuable.
• Able to perform assigned duties safely, including lifting when required.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 56.0 per week
