Duties

  • Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
  • Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by medical teams.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
  • Document patient observations, care activities, and progress notes meticulously to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's), autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities while ensuring safety during transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
