Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive personal care to residents or clients, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect privacy.
• Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are upheld.
• Operate specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to support mobility and prevent injury.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Support residents’ emotional well-being through engaging activities, companionship, and active listening to foster a positive atmosphere.
• Document all care activities meticulously in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
• Participate in ongoing training related to CPR, first aid, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), hospice care, autism support, and other specialized areas of patient care.
