Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support medication administration and help implement individualized care plans under supervision.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the living environment.
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with heavy lifting to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning common areas and resident rooms.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes social interaction and mental well-being.

Skills

• Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance; additional certifications such as hospice care or nursing are advantageous.
